Long Time....Happy Birthday, Jake and Memorial Day Weekend

It has been a long time, but we are back! We have been really busy, but it is summer and there is a little(emphasis on little) free time.

We celebrated Jake's 4th birthday recently. We had a party at the zoo and had a wonderful time. We rode the carousel, looked at animals, ate cake, and opened presents. Of course it was a "Qeen" cake....for those of you that do not know Jake is obsessed with "Cars" the movie and Lightning McQueen the main character.

We also just spent Memorial Day at Big Lake with Nana and Papa. The kids loved the electric cars and swinging on the swing set.

Here is Jake at swimming...he just loves it. He was playing around
and hamming it up for me! This was before he got in the water...it
is a different story after he comes out of the water. Shivering and
very cold and cranky at that. Here are a couple pics of our fish!

Muffins with Mom

Today at Jake's Preschool we had "Muffins with Mom". We did a craft and had
muffins and juice said the pledge of allegiance and they sang a couple of songs!
It was too much fun! Here are pics and video.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hi All,

We have been so busy in this household! Just want to quick update
everyone, Jake started preschool on Tues of this week and he loves it!
Jenn is co-coordinating a MOPS group in town so she is currently
very busy getting that back up and started for the year. Mikey
is trying to walk, has 4 teeth now, and just is so happy.
Here are some pics of Jake's first day and maybe some of Mikey too.

What is this noise?

Mikey has discovered how to make silly noises with his mouth! It is funny!
Here is some video. He loves to do it when he is eating so you can imagine the mess. Baby food all over mommy!

Trip to the zoo!

Jakey, Mikey and Mommy went to the zoo. We had such a good time and saw lots of interesting animals. Jakey says his favorite was the horsey. He also loved the carousel. We went to McD's after for a cheebooger and wies!

Easter at the Lake

We had a great time at Big Lake with everyone. Jakey enjoyed it out there! Lots of freedom and lots of fresh air!
The Easter Bunny came and he left a lot of stuff! Jake says "nak you, eater bunny!"

Long Time, No Post

Well, I was told I need to post! Whoops, have been a little
busy. Not much new, same old same old. These are some recent photos!

Rice Family Christmas

We were here in town this year for Christmas, and we spent it with Jenn's parents and her grandmother. We had a nice quiet little Christmas, I guess if you didn't count all the chatting from the little chatter box, Jake! He got so many nice things. He got race cars from Santa, just what he asked for. He got a running choo choo from Nana and Papa. Nannie got him a gift card to "Donalds", which is Jake's way of saying McDonalds! We all were very blessed this Christmas!

The Freed Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with the Freed's the weekend before Christmas. We had lots of fun. Here are some pictures, thanks to Nancy, Ashley's girlfriend. Some of them are so beautiful!

Santa's Village

Here are some pics from Santa's Village, Mommy took Jake on the Friday before Christmas. We saw electric trains, Santa and Mrs. Clause, made a cookie and a reindeer hat, went on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, and saw some of Santa's reindeer! It was a lot of fun, and what perfect day. It was nice and warm, for here anyway.

They say it is easy, but it ain't easy!

So, thinking I would be a great mommy, I decided Jake and I should put together a gingerbread

"choochoo" Oh my, not so much fun! Not too easy either. After screwing up one batch of frosting, I had only one batch to work with, was that exciting.

Even after all my troubles, Jake loved decorating it and of course eating the decorations!

Ringing the Bells!

On Friday of last week, we rang the bell for the Salvation Army.

Jake loved it. We had my mom, me, Jake, Michael, and Matthew(my nephew)

Quite the experience!

Star Sighting in Minot!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

We did! We had an exciting Friday after Thanksgiving.

We decided to go to the restaurant "10" that Josh Duhamel

co-owns with some local people, and guess who happened

to be there.

Of course, both of us were too chicken to get a picture

or an autograph, so all I have are the memories!

What fun though!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We are off to Minot tomorrow. Should be a fun trip in the car with a two year old and a 6 week old! I am sure we will have plenty of stories when we return.

We are all so thankful for each and everyone of you. Thank you for being a part of our lives!
